Used engine core with alternator and AC compressor attached, hanging from a chain hoist

How it works

Three steps. No guesswork.

  1. 1

    Submit photos

Upload photos of the whole part, the ID tag and any damage, plus the details you know. It takes about three minutes on a phone.

  2. 2

    Receive a quote

We review identification, condition, quantity and freight. If we can buy, you get a written offer with the price, quantity, shipping terms and inspection conditions.

  3. 3

    Ship or deliver

Accept in writing, and we confirm shipping or drop-off. Once the parts arrive and match the quote at inspection, you get paid under the agreed terms.

FAQ

Questions sellers ask

What is an automotive core?

A core is a used part, such as a transmission, engine, alternator or starter, that has value for rebuilding or remanufacturing, even if it no longer works.

Do you buy every core?

No. Every submission depends on identification, condition, our current buying criteria and review. If we can't make an offer, we'll tell you.

How do I get a price?

Submit photos and part details through our quote form. We review each request individually and reply by email with a written quote if we can make an offer.

Do you buy from sellers outside our area?

We accept inquiries from anywhere in the United States. Whether an offer makes sense depends on the part, the quantity and the freight cost from your ZIP code, so we work that out for each quote.

Who pays for shipping?

Your written quote says who arranges and pays freight. Please don't ship anything until you've accepted a quote and received shipping instructions from us.

How and when do I get paid?

We pay after the parts arrive and pass inspection against the accepted quote, under the payment terms stated in that quote.

What if my parts don't match the quote?

We'll contact you with photos and options under our Submission & Purchase Terms. That could be a revised offer, paying only for the units that match, or a return.

Do you buy catalytic converters?

Not at this time.

Are my photos and details kept private?

Yes. Photos and personal details are stored in access-restricted accounts and are never published on our website.

Got cores sitting around?

Send photos and part details. If we can buy, you'll get a written offer. You decide whether to accept.
