Sell Your Automatic Transmission Cores
Have used automatic transmissions or rebuildable cores? Send us photos and the identification details, and we will review them for a written offer. We work with individual sellers, transmission shops and rebuilders.
What to include in your quote request
- The transmission model or code (for example 6L80, 4L60E, 68RFE, 62TE, CVT model)
- A clear photo of the ID tag or sticker
- Vehicle year, make, model and engine, if known
- Whether the torque converter, pan, valve body and harness are present
- Known problems (slipping, no reverse, case damage)
- Whether the fluid has been drained
What affects the offer
- Exact identification (part number, OEM or casting number)
- Completeness and condition
- Quantity, plus whether bulk or repeat supply is available
- Current demand and resale options
- Freight cost from your ZIP code to us
- Case damage, missing torque converter or missing valve body
Preparing it for shipment (after you accept a quote)
- Drain the fluid and cap or plug the cooler ports and openings
- Secure the torque converter so it can't slide out
- Strap or bolt it to a sound pallet or skid, with nothing hanging over the edge
- Most transmissions ship as palletized freight rather than parcel
