We review complete engines, long blocks and short blocks for core value. Send photos and as much identification as you have.
What to include in your quote request
- Engine size or code, and the VIN-derived engine code if known
- Block casting numbers and any ID stamps
- Vehicle year, make and model
- What's attached: heads, intake, accessories, harness
- Known problems (spun bearing, cracked block, hydrolocked, seized)
- Fluid status (oil, coolant, fuel)
What affects the offer
- Exact identification (part number, OEM or casting number)
- Completeness and condition
- Quantity, plus whether bulk or repeat supply is available
- Current demand and resale options
- Freight cost from your ZIP code to us
- Cracked blocks or heads, freeze damage, missing components
Preparing it for shipment (after you accept a quote)
- Drain the oil and coolant. Fuel must be fully drained and the lines capped, because carriers treat engines with fuel as regulated cargo
- Remove the battery and any loose parts
- Bolt it to a sound pallet or skid (or an engine stand on a skid) and wrap it
- Engines ship by palletized freight, not parcel
